Social Events

Military Jubilee Lodge has a very vibrant social side which is fully inclusive of members family and friends. The lodge holds five social nights each year and hosts the annual Inter Lodge Quiz Night. The socials are open to both members and their family and friends. The emphasis on all our social events is to have as much fun as possible while raising money for local charities.

The social calendar each year includes:

Ladies Night

This is a black tie gala night, held traditionally at the Dover Town Hall. The event is hosted by the master of the lodge and his partner.  The evening starts with reception drinks.  Followed by a meal in the historic Stone Hall, before dancing the night away to live music.  Traditionally a night to wine and dine your partner and treat them to an exceptional night out.

Hail and Farewell 

At time to say good bye to the out going master and say hello to the incoming one. A dinner dance held at the Masonic Hall. Always a great night.

Summer Social

Being a military lodge this social is traditionally held around D-Day.  The day has commemorated D-Day in the past with 1940's fancy dress and vintage film shows. In 2016 the social was used to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the battle of the Somme with a dinner followed by a music hall performance. 

Winter Social

Normally held around October and has in the past been a theme night.  A race night, casino night or fancy dress. 

Christmas Social

This is one of our most popular nights. A full Christmas dinner followed by entertainment including the now infamous Potted Panto. With a cast assembled from the members and written by our very own Andrew Lloyd Webber. This is always a raucous and fun filled party night.

Inter Lodge Quiz

A night for all quizzers whether they represent a lodge or not.  The quiz master is always right and there is no phone a friend.
